SALES OPEARTIONS ADMINISTRATOR
FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT
ABOUT US:
At REDCOM, our mission is to enable the most critical conversations in the world by developing highly interoperable, flexible, and easy-to-use communications solutions. REDCOM stands for Research, Engineering, and Development in Communications, and our goal is to be the Command and Control platform of choice for all tactical levels of the government. After 45 years in business, we are still in growth mode. We’re looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented individual to join our sales operations team and help us serve our customers.
OPPORTUNITY AT A GLANCE:
In this position, you’ll take on the integral role of ensuring our customers’ quotes and orders are fulfilled accurately and perfectly. You are the connection that will be responsible for accurately gathering information, quoting, and processing customer orders to ensure all details are correct, so that orders can be fully processed, and delivered as expected.
Though your primary responsibilities for this position revolve around quoting and processing, the work will include continued collaboration with every department in support of customer needs, as well as a focus on continuous improvement and learning for you as an individual and REDCOM as a company.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellent customer service through persistent communication, will have a strong attention to detail and a keen interest in understanding the government and defense markets and the associated buying and selling processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • QUOTE / ORDER PROCESSING:
    • Quoting/Order Building: Work within the established quoting process to provide customer quotes that meet the expectations of each individual customer. Working within the ERP system, build and manage all flow-down order activities.
    • Order Management: Regularly monitor the status of incoming orders, ensuring they are processed promptly and accurately within established timelines.
    • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promptly address and resolve any discrepancies, errors, or issues related to orders, ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support by promptly responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and keeping customers (internal and external) informed about the status of their orders throughout the fulfillment process.
    • Data Research / Reporting: With training, create and run reports to ensure accurate delivery, forecasting, and consistency in the quoting process.
  • PRODUCT-READINESS PROCESSING:
    • Product Release: Work on a team as a lead steward of the release process for hardware, software, and general technical publications.
    • Document Control: General support of the document control process, assignment of part numbers, and release activities (coordinated with engineering).
  • General Skills
    • Performs other duties as assigned within the general scope of the these duties.
    • Collaborates routinely with other teams, including business development, engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
    • Contributes to operational excellence by identifying issues and brainstorming creative solutions. Actively works to continuously improve processes and documentation.
    • Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
  • High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent is necessary for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite products.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with excellent attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have some prior experience in a manufacturing environment, with ERP experience (we use EPICOR). A applicant with an Associate’s degree, or 1-3 years of work experience, including work on government contracts, some background in quoting and processing orders would be a strong candidate. While none of these are required for the role, these skills will shorten a potential candidate’s learning curve.
OTHER DUTIES:
Complete special projects and perform other duties as necessary.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
REDCOM offers a highly flexible hybrid working environment. This role can work hybrid including designated in-office days, which we use for collaboration sessions and cross-department meetings.
