As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Our Structural Engineering team has an immediate need for a drafter to assist engineers on various project types, including the design of new, independent structures to historic preservation of existing structures, and everything in between.

This position could be based out of either our Mechanicsburg office, or Allentown office (with some travel required) with the possibility of this transitioning to a hybrid position after an initial training period.

Because our employees are usually involved in several projects at one time, involving numerous team members (such as project manager, engineer, and CADD technician), exceptional communications skills and the ability to work well with others is essential. 

CADD Technician duties include: 

• Transforming initial rough product designs using Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD) into working documents.
• Preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams, to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction. 
• Perform field visits to survey existing conditions for department layout or general wall layout.
• Responsible for staying current with the latest developments in CAD, with the assistance of an Engineering Manager. 
• Maintaining the drafting standards as established by the senior project technician.
• Assuring the maintenance and storage of drawing files for active projects.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Revit experience a plus
• Technical degree in drafting or related course work.
• Experience in structural design projects a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a team. 
• Ability to work at a computer/desk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in field / on your feet for a full day, or accumulative days.
• Ability to occasionally travel to satellite offices.
• Ability to obtain Act 34, Act 114, and 151 clearances for work in PA schools.
• Current drivers license
