To keep the production lines in a safe and orderly manner through removing scrap, finished product and ensuring materials needed to produce and package products are stocked. Assist Operators with material changes as needed

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Follow all documented Safety Procedures found on Job Hazard Boards, Communication boards, and Standard Work Procedures Follow all documented Standard Work instructions pertaining to position Maintain clean and orderly work area Assemble and supply appropriate cartons, reels and skids to machine operators Supply Machine operators with yarn, film and backing Assist machine operators when loading yarn and backing Assist machine operators when doffing reels, reloading empty reels, and boxing finished goods Move finished goods to designated areas Operate yarn core crusher and recycle material Recycle cardboard materials Load and unload scrap bins from G2 vacuum system Load and operate plant-wide balers per work instructions May be required to assist in plant, equipment and outside maintenance activities May be called on to perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Manufacturing Mgr., Production Supervisor, Team Leader or Asst. Team Leader Follow all procedures and company policies as outlined in the AmesburyTruth Human Resources Guide and Environmental Safety Guide

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to walk/sit/stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift 25 – 50 lbs. on an occasional basis using proper technique Standing, repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, and walking on concrete floor. Must be able to read and understand written instructions Must be able to perform basic math Must be able to work with a team or independently Be able to use basic gages/quality testing tools Must be able to communicate effectively Basic computer skills

Qualifications / Prior Experience

• Manufacturing experience a plus Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S High school or equivalent degree Basic computer skills and knowledge for data entry and reporting

• Wear safety attire or protective gear on a daily basis. Adherence to all workplace and safety policies and procedures Ability to work overtime, 12 hours shift rotations, and flexible to schedule adjustments to meet demand. Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others and lead through influence Ability to read and understand written instructions Must understand overall process sufficiently to adjust and/or take proper actions to compensate for variations in process conditions or other changes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes in the work required Sites is temperature-controlled but at times may be exposed to heated conditions during other work requirements. Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Will share work space and tools with others The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits
