ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Mixes, grades, including setting forms and finishes concrete. Constructs and repairs block walls. Operates concrete breaking equipment.
Withdraws materials and maintains records.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Follows up on assigned written resident complaint requests, corrects problems, discusses with resident or refers to a supervisor-noting disposition. Drives a flatbed truck to transport masonry materials
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
Cement mixer, concrete saw, jackhammer and flatbed truck and hand tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to dust, fumes and normal outdoor elements.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational development which produces the ability to read, write and apply common sense
understanding to the carrying out of oral or written instructions. Experience in working with and finishing concrete or equivalent combination of education and experience that produces the following:
· of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.
· of the techniques and practices of asphalt and concrete construction.
· of the safety hazards and necessary precautions associated with the area of
assignment
· to perform manual labor requiring physical strength and stamina appropriate to the
area of assignment.
· to read and write work related job instructions in English.
· to communicate effectively with others in English.
· to pass respiratory pulmonary function test.
· to pass qualitative and/or quantitative respirator fit test.
· in repairing and finishing concrete.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· of a valid California driver’s license.
· to pass respiratory pulmonary function test and annual medical examination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing, walking and repetitive motion for up to 2 hours a day. Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 100 lbs., balancing, climbing, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching and stooping.
