HAEGER PRESS OPERATOR, 2nd SHIFT

Decimal Engineering specializes in Precision CNC Machining and custom sheet metal fabrications for the aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics, and marine-related industries.

Under the general direction of the Assembly Supervisor, the Operator will operate the machinery that is associated with the manual department processes. These processes will include but are not limited to pemming, counter-sinking, drilling, riveting, and counterboring. The Operator will function as a member of the manufacturing team.

Position Summary:
The qualified candidate should have solid mechanical aptitude, experience using various hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, and other tools and tooling, and a willingness and ability to handle a variety of tasks. Experience with operating a pemming machine and the ability to read mechanical schematics (blue prints). Applicants must be reliable, punctual and have a great work ethic.

Job Duties:
Pemming, countersinking, drilling, riveting parts. Operates various machines as determined by production needs. (pemming machines and drill presses)

• Gathers tooling and materials.
• Transports materials and products to other areas throughout the organization.
• Operates pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials.
• Maintains shop cleanliness.
• Gathers and distributes items as needed.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read & interoperate blueprints
• High School or equivalent (i.e. GED) or related experience and/or training
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must have an acute attention to detail as it applies to tight tolerances.
• Proficient computer skills including general equipment software are preferred.
• Able to effectively work individually and as a team.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changes and assume new responsibilities
• High level of integrity, and professionalism
• Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
• Good judgment.
• Ability to identify machine or process problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
