Clearance Requirements

• Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an active polygraph. Both the clearance and polygraph need to be fully adjudicated. Interim clearances will not be accepted.

(BVTI) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) who is looking to identify a motivated and customer-oriented Oracle Database Administrator to join our high-caliber team supporting our federal customer in the Intelligence Community. The work is challenging and offers an environment that is filled with great opportunities and for professional growth. This high-profile, long-term contract lends support to the technical environment required to securely support the customer's needs in the acquisition process. The Oracle Database Administrator will maintain and enhance the integrity, security, and performance of our Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, and be familiar with the full data lifecycle from creation and transformation to usage and archiving.
Position Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement Oracle database in accordance to end users information needs and views.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Maintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and vendors to fix and improve databases.

Preferred Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
• 6 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
• Knowledge of Oracle database management and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.

• Any of the following certifications would be a plus:
  • CompTIA Linux Certification
  • CompTIA Security Certification
  • CompTIA Network Certification
  • CompTIA A Certification
