University Credit Union is Hiring an IT Service Representative Near Miami, FL

Description:

The IT Support Technician will support daily operations of Tier I/II IT support, escalating to Tier III if needed, supporting University Credit Union team members and credit union members under the direction of the AVP of IT and Facilities. This role will need to have knowledge of and support critical business IT services, planning, development and execution consistent with University Credit Union’s culture and best practices.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  • Provide on-going support and Tier I/II technical assistance to all Credit Union staff with issues related to computer systems, core banking software and assisting membership.
  • Perform scheduled and consistent processing of core banking software administrative tasks such as day/month/quarter end processing and other core software tasks as appropriate.
  • Investigates user problems/identifies their source; determines possible solutions; discusses testing and implementation of solutions with AVP of IT.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties, coordinating with third-party vendors as appropriate.
  • Provides refresher training and cross-training to staff on system features as appropriate.
  • Performs hardware/software upgrades to existing computer hardware, software, and core banking software as well as assist in projects as delegated by management.
  • Assist with the tracking and inventorying of all IT assets, inventory and credit union vendors.
  • Provides leadership team with assigned reports in a timely, accurate manner. Utilizes and maintains help desk tracking software.
  • Performs responsibilities in accordance with all Credit Union standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team structure as well as independently.
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with excellent time and project/task management skills
  • Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer, etc.).

Here are a few qualifications we’d LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.

  • Knowledgeable about current Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledgeable about basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting).
  • Strong understanding of computer systems and technology stacks that support them.
  • Understanding of the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems.
  • CompTIA A and/or Network Certification preferred.
  • Financial Institution Experience preferred.
