SUMMER SNOWMAKING ASSISTANT

Work outside and gain invaluable skills. Angel Fire Resort Snowmaking team is looking for someone who is not afraid to work hard, is a self-starter and is able to perform tasks without supervision. Looking to hire individual with some mechanical / landscaping skills who preferably is familiar with snowmaking and snowmaking machinery. Training is available. Base Pay: $19-22 DOE

Required Certs or Licenses: Driver’s License

Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as needed

Typical Shift: 8am-5pm

Environment: This is a physically demanding outdoor position. Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift and regularly lift/carry 75lbs. This is a do-whatever-it-takes job that requires the ability to work in varied environments

Responsibilities

Support summer snowmaking team in varying degree of equipment and grounds maintenance tasks
Adhere to all snowmaking policies, safety guidelines and best practice procedures at all times
Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures
Understand safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all snowmaking equipment
Understand all standards and safety procedures as instructed and outlined in the operational manual
Assist in operations, inspections, and maintenance of snowmaking equipment
Advanced knowledge of hand tools
Assist in implementation of storm water management
Effective communication between shifts, team leadership, and adjacent teams within the resort
Assist with welding help when needed
General housekeeping of snowmaking facilities
Assist in Noxious Weed Control, tree removal
General landscaping duties
Ensure all tools are in good condition and be proficient in their use.
Perform other duties as assigned.
