Job Description The Fugro Geophysical service line provides geophysical surveys that maps out the ocean floor and underneath to provide geophysical data, utilizing sonar technologies to do. The geophysical surveys involve a series of techniques and algorithms applied to raw survey data to extract meaningful information about subsurface features. It includes steps such as data quality control, noise removal, filtering, and data enhancement. These processes aim to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio, improve resolution, and create interpretable images or models of the subsurface. The Geophysical Processing Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing Marine Geophysical data processing to provide accurate, comprehensive, and customized geophysical data products to varying stakeholders. Engages with the Regional Technical Manager to ensure alignment with and support for strategic developments. Job Responsibilities Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk. Implement consistent processing workflows, procedures, and software across all regional geophysical processing teams to optimize efficiency and deliver excellence. Lead Geophysical data processing resources used for developing and delivering data services for internal and external clients with a primary focus on creating processes and developing and deploying staff who assure technical requirements are fulfilled. Implement and assure best practices for processing, quality control and data management across regional teams. Line management of Geophysical Processing Supervisors and Coordinators in the region. Support candidate hiring selection process and act as a mentor and coach. Approval authority of appropriate staff on projects. Monitor cloud and on-premise processing and data storage costs. Collaborate closely with the Technical Manager, Operations Managers, and Innovation Department on the standardization of equipment, software as related to geophysical data processing. Partner with the Geo-data Production Manager, Americas on strategy, initiatives, software, and IT hardware decisions. Ensure optimal deployment of people and assets. Drive professional and career development of talent within the teams. Coordinate with commercial/business development for the preparation of tenders (including resourcing and bids) as per Fugro’s authorization matrix. Demonstrate integrity, ethics, accountability, responsibility, initiative, and teamwork at all times. Job Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions. Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel. Have 10 years or more experience in data processing, project management, or similar roles in geophysical/surveying industry. Possesses an Associate’s degree or higher in Surveying and Mapping, or Civil Engineering preferred. Have 15 years or more experience in data processing, project management, or similar roles in geophysical/surveying industry preferred. Possess solid survey and data processing knowledge, capabilities and understanding. Ability and willingness to travel to remote office and field sites. Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and maintain composure under tight deadlines. Supervision of all Lafayette processing staff. Possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record. What’s in it for you?
