Biomed Equipment Technician II

Job Summary

The Biomed Equipment Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The Biomed Equipment Technician II will work closely with clinical staff to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and meets all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Order and install replacement parts as needed
• Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure that equipment meets all safety and performance standards
• Provide technical support to clinical staff
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment and systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
