JOB GOAL: To plan, coordinate, and implement the District adopted Language Arts Literacy Program, Curriculum & Whole School Reform Model. Responsible for the Language Arts Literacy professional development and coaching of teachers assigned to the teaching of Language Arts. To analyze data in order to modify curriculum and forms of assessment to meet students’ language arts literacy needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey teaching certificate.
• Master’s degree, preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of exemplary classroom teaching experience in Grades K-8.
• Completion or commitment to complete six (6) hours of graduate credit coursework from an approved on-site trainer.
• Ability to communicate and work with adult learners: teachers, administrators and parents.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Leadership skills when working with adults.
• Strong knowledge of the language arts literacy curriculum and the preparation of daily lesson plans.
• Significant experience with language arts literacy instructional classroom strategies, student academic assessment, remediation activities/strategies, and data use, analysis, interpretation and display.
• Organized and skilled at record keeping.
• Demonstrated the ability to deliver staff development initiatives and programs.
• Demonstrated highly proficient language arts literacy and technology skills and the ability to implement the application of technology across the language arts literacy curriculum.
• Knowledge of language arts literacy test specifications of the New Jersey Standardized Assessments.
• Commitment to self-reflection and learning.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
