JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a PER- DIEM position.
In general, the Medical Waste Collections Inspector candidate will be responsible for completing on-site facility inspections for DHS (Department of Homeland Security) facilities located in Jena, LA.area.
The candidate will be eligible for travel, meal and lodging reimbursement according to the JTR (Joint Travel Regulations) and or GSA (General Service Administration). In conjunction with completing onsite inspections, the candidate will also be completing final inspection reports including addressing corrective actions* (where applicable). The inspection candidate will submit all completed reports (with required data including signatures, dates, corrective actions*, etc.) to Tridant Solutions Management for processing within the allotted timeframe of 7-14* days from inspection. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting (OSHA) facility inspections and have knowledge of state medical waste regulations.

POSITION TYPE & RATE INFORMATION
This position is:
Per-Diem
- Rate for this position will be $500.00 USD per completed facility inspection.
- The Candidate will be paid for each approved completed DHS facility inspection; this includes conducting a physical/ on-site facility inspection in conjunction with submitting a completed final inspection report for processing within the allotted 7-day timeframe.
ASSOCIATED JOB DUTIES (Including but not limited to)
- Conduct on-site facility inspections with flexibility in scheduling. Inspections must be performed within a 2-week period (anticipated between May 15 and June 3; given dates/ timeline is subject to change at the discretion of Tridant Solutions Inc.).
- Complete & submit final inspection reports to Tridant Solutions Inc. Management for processing within 7 days of completing a facility inspection.
- Log and note corrective actions found during the facility inspection(s):
- The inspector will address the corrections in the initial inspection report and submit the corrections to the facility POC for immediate corrective action.
- All corrective actions must be verified as completed by the inspector within a reasonable timeframe/deadline and submit the final report for signature.
- Corrective action tasks mentioned above must be completed by the inspector within 14 days of the initial inspection.
- Submit inspection reports to the DHS facility POC for signature:
- The inspector must sign and submit the report to Tridant Solutions Inc. Management and return the description as html.
- Schedule pick-ups/ additional pick-ups for RMW (Regulated Medical Waste) pick-up’s as needed.
- Daily use of MS Suite Programs (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) for document management purposes
- Additional Medical Waste Inspection administrative duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Required- Bachelor of Science degree in occupational safety OR related occupational health and safety field
- Required 2 (two) year-minimum experience as an OSHA Compliance/ safety inspector.
- Required 2 (two) years minimum experience working remotely with minimum supervision.
- Required 2 (two) year-minimum experience in MS Suite Programs (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) for document management purposes.
- Preferred- Valid BCSP Certification
