CCI Industrial is Hiring a Grounds Maintenance Foreman Near Charles, LA

General Description:

The Grounds Maintenance Foremen position is responsible for directing daily grounds maintenance throughout the facility. The execution of day-to-day ground maintenance to include but not limited to landscaping, the operation of landscaping equipment, general ground maintenance and waste removal.

This position will be responsible for driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. CCI Industrial Services leads the industry in Safety, Innovation, and Excellence. CCI's mission is to provide quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with all guidelines policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending training
  • Demonstrate professional skills and abilities
  • Initiate problem-solving and complete timely execution of maintenance around the facility.
  • General duties of ground maintenance consisting of: maintaining ditches, roads and water ways throughout the facility location. Waste removal from the facility, erect signage, water distribution, maintain lift stations, grass cutting, bush trimming, weed eating.
  • Maintain lift stations, monitor roll off box operations, parking lot maintenance, form building and concrete pouring, scrap metal and rail management.
  • Safely maintain all equipment, tools and consumables. Maintain accurate record keeping on all items to ensure everything is ready daily.
  • Report any discrepancies in repairs that may affect equipment readiness.
  • Properly maintain all company equipment in a safe operating condition. Conducting preventative maintenance (PM’s) on a regular monthly schedule.
  • Daily check of fluids before operating equipment.
  • Communicate status of the equipment to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with required the HSE training
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns, incidents, issues promptly
  • Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, work safely and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI.
  • Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
  • Document and record any injury or diem this incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Always maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all related equipment policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, training, and exercises.
  • Dress code is professional commensurate with site practices where applicable.
  • Hard-toe safety footwear is always required while working.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work well with others in an environment that can include working safely in harsh weather conditions working with diversify personalities.
  • Ability to clearly state right read and understand the English language.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an open environment that may need traffic control and other measure to ensure the safety of the workforce and the public.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand the safe operation of General Equipment.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
  • Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 70 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.

Contingencies:

Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
