Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents
- Inspect packages for damages or defects
- Unload, unpack, and organize received items in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory levels and update records
- Operate forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to prioritize shipments and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Perform quality control checks on outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Ability to accurately pick, pack, and label items for shipment
- Attention to detail to inspect incoming shipments for damages or defects
- Strong organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and resolve issues
