NUG is Hiring a Store Manager Near Yonkers, NY

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our newest and first New York NUG retail store. The ideal candidate will have a background in shift management, restaurant, and team management.

General Duties

  • Provide clear communication and set expectations to staff.
  • Manage store staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Maintaining and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Handle customers and employee requests appropriately.
  • Adhere to all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, execute and enforce compliance efforts.
  • Following all SOPs in the dispensary environment across departments.
  • Assist in training and management of employees.
  • Facilitate meetings to disseminate critical information to floor leads, inventory, and other staff.

Cash Handling

  • Preparing cash reports. Auditing Cash.
  • Balancing cash registers, and researching discrepancies if needed

Marketing/Merchandising

  • Setting strategies for growth for the store. Developing and implementing marketing and merchandising strategies.
  • Working knowledge of P&L and retail business operations.
  • Running product and sales reports and looking at analytical trends.

Staff Education/Training

  • Ensure all new hires are properly onboarded and trained using NUG SOPs.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Enrolling new hires in Learn Brands.
  • Scheduling and facilitating product/brand education and training.

Promotions and Vendor Relationship Management

  • Schedule and facilitate In-store demos.
  • Design and program weekly and vendor deals. Reference NUG deals and competitions sheet and keep track of and turn deals on/off as needed. Be able to pull discount reports for vendors when needed.
  • Forward order invoices to inventory staff and keep track of promo products and associated promotions.

Data Reporting

  • Pull discount reports for reimbursement.
  • Pull weekly reports for desired KPIs for the store and share them in the weekly retail management meeting.
  • Investigate any discrepancies in store sales data.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Experience in Cannabis culture
  • Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and time management
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in work environment
  • Must be detail oriented and take directions well
  • Must have knowledge of medical cannabis, related vocabulary, and product offered

Working Conditions:

This position will work in an office/retail store environment with a controlled temperature and may have to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.
