A Prep Technician oversees the preparation process of extracted cannabis oil to ensure quality control and prevent contamination of product as it is prepared for extraction. This position is full-time hourly with PTO and health insurance.

Desired Experience:

A Prep technician needs to be well organized and should demonstrate strong work-flow management. Good hand-eye-coordination and prior experience handling various grades and consistencies of cannabis hash oil are desired. The Processor must maintain high levels of cleanliness in a lab space and attention to detail pertaining to data-entry.

• Commercial cannabis experience and a knowledge of the market is desirable.
• Familiarity with the market, product and marketing trends, & new technologies in the field.
• A background in other professional trades, especially in a team context.
• Familiarity with current California cannabis manufacturing regulations.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable Transportation
• Flexible Schedule
• 21 (Section 26013 & 26140 of CA Business & Professions Code)
• Ability to work in a careful, organized manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, compassionate communication skills and a desire to work cooperatively on a team.
• A desire to learn and constantly improve work-flow and technique.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Bonus Experience:

• Cannabis extraction experience
• Laboratory experience
• Food Handler Certification
• Familiarity with California’s cannabis “Metrc Compliance” system
• Basic understanding of cannabinoids and terpene profiles
