The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of IT projects using Agile methodologies. They are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from initiation to completion, while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**) :

Act as an Agile champion for the organization.

Lead and manage the delivery of IT projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, QA engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, proactively resolving any obstacles to project success.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting Agile best practices, implementing process enhancements, and providing coaching and mentorship to team members.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project priorities and requirements.

Track and report project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and senior management.

Drive accountability and promote a sense of ownership within the team, empowering individuals to take initiative and deliver high-quality results.

Stay current with industry trends and developments in Agile methodologies, technology, and project management practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.

Brings a continuous improvement mentality and sense of curiosity to daily activities.

Ability to work in a hybrid working environment, with several days in the office and several days remote, unless an ADA accommodation is needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5 Years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar role in IT project management.

Strong knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies, with hands-on experience implementing Agile practices in software development projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and techniques.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering business value and driving results.

Experience working with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.

Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders and fostering a collaborative team culture.

PREFERRED:

Masters degree in business, technology or a related field

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
