Position Summary: In accordance with the Tampa Family Health Center policies and procedures, the Certified Nurse Midwife oversees the OB department. The position will work collaboratively with members of the nursing, medical staff, and other outside partners.

Essential Functions:

• Provides clinical oversight and support as needed to nursing staff and medical assistants in collaboration with the OB providers and Practice Manager.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of OB program goals.
• Engage with community partners.
• Collaborates with leadership in setting quality standards for nursing care and in the development of relevant policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver educational information for prenatal and post-partum patients.
• Review OB Due Date report and cross-reference with the hospital’s TFHC patient census and received reports.
• Maintain proper tracking and reporting of OB patients.
• Complete, analyze and submit monthly reports.

Education, Certification, Training and License:

Current RN State of Florida license

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience in Women’s reproductive health and childbirth as a clinical nurse or nurse leader required.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Active FL License.

Active CPR card.
