POSITION SUMMARY

4Roots is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Director to join our dynamic team at the Culinary Health Initiative (CHI). As a Clinical Research Director, you will play a key role in advancing our mission by overseeing the development and execution of research studies. This part-time position requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to impactful health initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Proven experience in clinical research, with a focus on supervisory or leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of grant application processes and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment and provide mentorship to research coordinators.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a related field

Position Functions and Duties

Feasibility Analyses and Project Outline:

• Conduct comprehensive feasibility analyses for proposed studies.
• Develop detailed outlines for research projects aligned with the CHI mission and directives from the Chief Medical Officer.

Grant Support:

• Assist in the preparation of grant applications, actively contributing to the success of funding efforts.
• Ensure strict compliance with grant regulatory requirements, including consent forms, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, and ongoing maintenance of study quality.

Study Process Management:

• Collaborate with the research team to facilitate and oversee study activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure a smooth and efficient study process.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Take a lead role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, particularly in the areas of consent forms and IRB approval.
• Maintain high standards of study quality, adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices.

Training and Mentorship:

• Provide support for staff training related to research studies.
• Offer mentorship to research coordinators, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented work environment.

4 Rivers Smokehouse began with the launch of the “Barbecue Ministry” in 2004, when John hosted a cookout fundraiser to support a local family whose young daughter was battling cancer.
