Commercial Application Product Specialist Intern will work with the CAST Product Support Specialist to develop relationships with commercial ag service providers & custom applicators. Grow aftermarket sales with existing customer base through outstanding communication with individual plant managers, operators and operations managers. Serve as single point of contact for John Deere and Hagie commercial ag customers (CPS, FS Locations, etc). Manages pre & post-season inspection programs and follow up service/repairs based on inspections. Coordinates with individual service managers logistically to maximize efficiency and minimize customer downtime. Works with commercial ag sales team to develop customer training & clinics. Travel to customer locations to perform follow-up visits on complete goods, parts and service sales, address customer concerns, promote aftermarket sales, provide technical support when applicable and collect customer information to enhance customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Markets parts and service sales such as extended warranties, maintenance plans, machine inspections, overhauls, standard job quotes and special parts promotions
• Promote Integrated Solutions/precision ag and/or technology products from John Deere and other vendors (Ag Logic, JD Link, etc.…)
• Performs follow-up calls at customer locations on complete goods and major parts and service
• Addresses customer concerns quickly and resolves problems effectively
• Profiles customer’s machines, vehicles and demographic information
• Participates in product presentations at customer clinics, pre-season meetings, field days & demonstrations and meetings held outside the dealership
• Communicates with location service managers to ensure commercial customers’ needs are met and to help direct sprayer technicians and schedule/prioritize work load
• Assists the Sales department with after sales calls to ensure equipment operates to the customer’s satisfaction
• Provides limited technical support where applicable
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
