Martin Tractor, Inc. is a family owned and operated 4th generation John Deere Dealership. Our company started from humble beginnings in 1926 at a farmhouse in Roanoke, Illinois.
Over the last 95 years, our company has grown and Martin Tractor, Inc. currently has 13 locations across Central and Western Illinois. Martin Tractor Inc. has a unique culture, we have a small-town feel with all the benefits of a larger corporation.
We are currently looking to hire a Sales Professional to join out Martin Tractor, Inc. team.
Responsibilities:
  • Represents the company for the sale of large ag machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially sellable by the dealership.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management accordingly.
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process.
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management.
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  • May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
  • Assists customers with machine start up.
Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
  • 1 years equipment sales experience.
  • Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
