The High School Science Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering a dynamic and engaging science curriculum to students that instills a love for science and supports students’ understanding of real world application. This role involves instructing students in various scientific disciplines, fostering scientific inquiry, and cultivating critical thinking skills through hands-on experiments and exploration in order to set students up for success beyond high school. The successful candidate fosters a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student understanding and proficiency in science and the scientific method. The High School Science Teacherwill utilize assessment data to determine progress against instructional objectives and will utilize instructional strategies and differentiated instruction to support all students to achieve their goals. In this position, the High School Science Teacher will also work collaboratively with staff members, administrators, families, and other stakeholders to support students to achieve. The High School Science Teacher will serve as a knowledgeable expert in the subject matter, employing and implementing a comprehensive science curriculum. The successful candidate will also possess effective communication skills, adaptability, and a zest for helping students succeed in science while fostering a positive attitude toward scientific inquiry.
