Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspections of the facility, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct any potential hazards and ensure safety regulation compliance - Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on correct behaviors - Maintain OSHA logs - Enforce safety policies and establish a strong health and safety culture - Perform safety audits as needed - Maintain AED units - Maintain master incident log - Participate in third party audits and inspections - Assist in providing information for the development of site specific manual - Maintain master list of all SDS’s - Keep the corporate safety manager informed of all developments regarding health and safety in a timely manner - Emergency preparedness: 1) Oversee emergency alert system; 2) Assist with maintaining emergency plans and procedures; 3) Conduct annual practice drills; 4) Coordinate and maintain first responder team training - Maintain training documentation and safety-related documentation - Operational controls related to waste paint management process - Effectively communicate new standards/regulations, significant incidents and management directives to team - Support the corporate safety director in conducting compliance inspections of site - Assist the corporate safety director with the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
