Share expertise across multiple functions and teams to leverage current knowledge into future product and process development.Lead plant troubleshooting efforts and coordinate improvement projects with the Operations team to reduce scrap and lower manufacturing costs.Review and approve job procedures and operating discipline. Manage capital projects up to and in excess of $1MDevelops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors to deliver solutions.Develop and approve plant engineering and equipment specifications, process and instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, material balances, and other key documented process knowledge.Qualifications: Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred but other engineering disciplines are considered7 years minimum manufacturing/process engineering experience, preferably in lithium battery-related technologies. Chemical industry process engineering a plus.Experience with project management and technology improvement processes, PMP certification a plusSolid understanding of statistical process control and process improvement methodologies. Black Belt/Green Belt certification a plus.Demonstrated experience with root cause trouble shooting activitiesGood understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and process automation (PLC)Software skills including MS Office professional package and Minitab.
