Mid Level Finance Specialist / Controller

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Finance Specialist to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success.Position Overview: As a Mid-Level Finance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing various financial aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, coupled with expertise in invoicing, budgeting, payroll, taxes, federal contract pricing, general ledger, and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with 5-6 years of experience to make a significant impact on our financial operations.Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial activities, including invoicing, budgeting, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and financial policies.
• Develop and implement efficient financial processes to optimize the organization's financial performance.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of federal solicitations and contracts to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and program management, to gather relevant data for pricing proposals.
• Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency in federal pricing submissions.
• Work closely with external auditors during the audit process.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in finance roles, with a focus on invoicing, budgeting, payroll, taxes, pricing, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Reside in Salt Lake, Cache or Utah Counties.
