Level One Personnel is Hiring a PT Events Coordinator Near Columbia, MD
Role : Events Coordinator (Part-Time) Type : Contract, no end-date. Flexibility to become a permanent employee of client organization. Location : Columbia, MD Pay : $22-25/hour Hours : 20-25 Hours a Week. Monday-Friday, either 8:30am-1pm or 9am-1pm. (Some flexibility may be required for Annual Weekend or Evening Events. Occurs upwards of 5 times a year). Mission : To organize and operate a nonprofit civic organization, exclusively for the promotion of the health, common good and social welfare of the owners of property in, and the residents of, the Village of Wilde Lake. Position Summary : The Special Events Coordinator develops and implements programs for community residents, develops an annual calendar of events, and develops and implements marketing plans, including use of social media, for WLCA-sponsored camps, activities, and art exhibits & receptions. Event Planning
Develops and implements a variety of programs and events for community members of all ages and the on-site Art Gallery.
Manages and maintains the functioning and operations of the art gallery, including working with artists, scheduling exhibits & art receptions and soliciting artists for exhibits as necessary
Processes and approves artist applications
Develops a 12-month calendar of events for the association.
Manages Facility social media pages, gallery pages, and updates website with up-coming events.
Creates advertising and designs fliers to publicize programs, events, and art exhibits & receptions
Coordinates and negotiates event service provider and artist contracts
Staffs WLCA-sponsored programs, events, and art receptions
Attends periodic Village events coordinators meetings
Supervises and coordinates event assistants or volunteers
General Administrative Support
Answers phones and greets visitors
Responds to inquiries over the phone or in person and/or refers to appropriate staff
Collects payments as necessary
Processes registrations for programs, classes, and events
Orders supplies as needed
Provide Administrative Support as needed.
Qualifications
Associate's degree
3-5 Years of Experience in Event Management, and an Administrative Background
Experience with social media in a professional environment
Advanced proficiency in the development of public relations and marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, social media, and fliers
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, WordPress and social media
Ability to implement responsible and thoughtful decision-making skills with minimal direction from a supervisor
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others, process customer requests and provide necessary work-related information in an efficient and professional manner
Strong customer service skills to deal effectively with a variety of clients, including children and parents
Preferred Skillset/Background:
Bachelors Degree from an Accredited University/College.
CMP Designation.
CPR and First Aid certification
Vendor Management Experience
