Summary: The quality review data analyst works closely with the program manager and senior director for growth and development of the quality review process. Work includes, but is not limited to, tracking and analyzing data, evaluating program quality and efficiency, database management oversight, and organizing activities and management of projects related to the strategic plan. Participates in collaboration with the leadership team in the review and analysis of patient quality and safety events. Responsibilities:

• Performs the collection, coding, validation and analysis of data. Design and perform data collection to facilitate performance improvement activities, trend reports, and research. Develop and collaborate on approved initiatives.
• Collaborate with the program manager and senior director to implement quality filters, audits, and case reviews; identify trends and sentinel events.
• Support the program manager and senior director in conjunction with the multidisciplinary care team to facilitate the development, implementation, and progressive growth of quality care within the hospital system.
• Provide support in research projects including data collection and analysis. Participate and support protocol design that facilitates accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting. Understand the requirements of research oversight in collaboration with the Children's Research Department.
• Supportive role in preparing data to present to physicians as well as executive leadership.

How You'll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years Work-related experience; data management or quality experience Req
• At least 3 years Direct experience related to same or similar systems installed at Children's (Epic/Healthy Planet, Crystal reports, reporting Workbench, Oracle SQL, programming/coding, Tableau workbook)
• At least 3 years' Experience with PC-based applications, e.g. Windows, MS Office, Relational Databases, MS Access Req

EDUCATION

• Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Degree in Informatics, IT, Computer Science, or BSN Req
• Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Pref

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• EPIC Certification Pref
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas Req
