BMNT is Hiring a Senior Program Analyst - H4X Labs Near Palo Alto, CA

About the Role:

H4XLabs partners with founders to build next generation companies. We focus on partnering with dual-use, Deep Tech companies to grow their businesses in the commercial and government market.

As part of the H4XLabs team, the Senior Program Analyst assists in the execution of H4XLabs programs. H4XLabs has several accelerator programs that take place in parallel with each other and the Senior Program Analyst is responsible for supporting the team in the planning of the program as well as creation of the in-person and virtual components that foster community engagement. 

In addition, candidates should have market research and analytical skills in order to conduct research and help startup advisors and company teams make informed decisions to deliver against business goals. Finally, the Senior Program Analyst will support the administrative duties, operations and the execution of the programs. This position is ideal for candidates that thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured environment and have a proven track record in outreach support and building relationships with internal teams and external organizations. 

Location: This is a hybrid position within commuting distance to our Palo Alto, CA or Arlington, VA office with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week and sometimes more often based on customer needs.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

  1. Startup and Small Business Company Evaluation:
    • Review and evaluate applications from startup founders applying to the accelerator program.
    • Conduct due diligence on potential cohort members, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and financial modeling.
  2. Market Research:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges within target industries.
    • Analyze market data and competitor insights to inform strategic decision-making and program development.
  3. Mentorship and Support:
    • Facilitate connections between startup founders and industry mentors, experts, and advisors.
    • Provide guidance and support to cohort members throughout the program duration, addressing their needs and helping them overcome obstacles.
  4. Partnership Development:
    • Cultivate relationships with industry partners, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of the accelerator program.
    • Collaborate with external organizations to develop joint initiatives, workshops, and resources for program participants.
  5. Program Management:
    • Assist in planning and executing accelerator program activities, including workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking events.
    • Coordinate logistics for program sessions, such as scheduling, venue coordination, and participant communication.
    • Track and report on key program metrics and milestones to internal stakeholders and program partners.
  6. Program Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Collect feedback from program participants, mentors, and stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Contribute to the development of program curriculum, content, and resources based on participant feedback and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in venture capital, startup acceleration, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on early-stage companies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for supporting early-stage startups and driving innovation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Experience working with startup founders, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders is a plus.

  • Data Analysis: Effectively analyze data from various sources to assess market potential, growth trends, and competitor performance.

  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicate complex information to a diverse audience, including entrepreneurs, investors, and accelerator staff.
  • Active Listening: Ask insightful questions, understand the nuances of startup pitches, and identify potential challenges.
  • Strong Networking: Build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts to stay informed and source promising startups.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively within the accelerator team and collaborate with external partners.

Additional Competencies:

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industries the accelerator focuses on is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential roadblocks for startups and suggest solutions or resources.
  • Passion for Innovation: Be genuinely interested.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary range is $81,000-$110,000. The salary range for California candidates is $90,000-$110,000 annually and the salary range for Virginia applicants is $81,000-$99,000 annually.
