InfraRed Capital Partners is an international infrastructure asset manager, with more than 160 professionals operating worldwide from offices in London, Madrid, New York, Sydney and Seoul. InfraRed is part of SLC Management, the institutional alternatives and traditional asset management business of Sun Life. InfraRed represents the infrastructure equity arm of SLC Management, which also incorporates BGO, a global real estate investment management adviser, and Crescent Capital, a global alternative credit investment asset manager.

Job Purpose

You will play a key role in developing and executing an integrated fundraising and investor relations strategy that support InfraRed’s long-term objectives, with particular focus on investors based in the North East or South East (“Target Region”) of the United States.

You will be personally active in the infrastructure fund raising market, responsible for fundraising across the full spectrum of InfraRed’s solutions in the Target Region and ensure the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with investors, consultants, gate keepers, advisors and business partners as well as other internal and external stakeholders in the region. You will report to a Partner in the NYC office and will work cross-functionally with Compliance, Tax, Finance teams and other departments. 

We are open to consider candidates who are not based in NYC if your client coverage is predominantly South East. 

Key Job Responsibilities

Distribution - Strategy and Execution

  • Contribute to the development and drive forward a robust capital raising strategy and sales plan across the Target Region and North America more broadly
  • Represent the full continuum of InfraRed funds in the Target Region
  • Design and implement a framework to prioritize key prospective relationships with investors and key consultants.
  • Ensure that sales goals are met and that all stakeholders are continuously informed on progress.
  • Leverage InfraRed’s CRM system to monitor and measure new business success.
  • Represent InfraRed at industry conferences and seminars in the Target Region
  • Leverage and partner with business development colleagues across InfraRed’s broader Capital Formation team and SLC and SLC affiliates distribution teams.
  • Responsible for high-level communications with the investors in relation to the operations of InfraRed’s funds in the Target Region and keeping the investor community updated on company’s future strategies and industry trends.
  • Develop, implement, and manage an effective Client Services strategy for the Target Region, ensuring investor relations team deliver a high quality, timely and consistent investor experience.
  • Guide the improvement of existing investor reporting in collaboration with the Investment, Asset and Portfolio Management teams.
  • Contribute to organizing investor events; including the process and preparation of associated materials

Marketing and internal communication

  • Develop and work on ongoing refinement of marketing materials to ensure that key messaging is relevant, consistent and impactful across multiple communication tools: external and internal websites, thought leadership, presentations, investors reporting, press releases, social media, etc.
  • On an ongoing basis consider, propose and contribute to the development of new marketing and external communication content, to be created in various different formats and distributed through multiple channels, as appropriate
  • Proactively engage in and contribute to all relevant internal communication reporting on progress, evolving trends and market developments, developing new initiatives and exchanging on best practices, creating a highly collaborative and best-in-class team dynamic

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive proven relevant industry experience (5 years) in a business development/ fund raising role with advanced understanding of the institutional infrastructure / real asset industry
  • Strong industry network of institutional investors, investment consultants, etc. with demonstrable deep and relevant relationships
  • Strong communication skills and commercial acumen with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way and exceptional listening skills
  • High-energy, results-oriented self-starter with a commitment to quality and meeting deadlines
  • Strong appreciation of Investment Management industry sales processes / business and understanding of the Target Region’s and broader US regulatory environment
  • Strong market and competitor knowledge, including strengths and weaknesses and product
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and keep informed a broad range of stakeholders
  • The ideal candidate should have a relevant investment management qualification e.g. CFA
  • Preferred Master Degree in Business, e.g. MBA is preferred
  • Licenses: Series 7 & 63
  • Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce and Dynamo strongly preferred
  • Willingness to undertake significant travel

The base salary range offered for this position is between $180,000 - $225,000 per annum depending on your base location and experience. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
