Job Summary:

As a Product Documentation Developer at Ordr, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have access to clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation for our cybersecurity software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and technical support, to create and maintain high-quality documentation that meets the needs of our diverse user base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain product documentation, including user guides, integration manuals, release notes, API references, and online help documentation, for our cybersecurity software products.

2. Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to understand product features, functionality, and technical specifications.

3. Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and easily understandable documentation tailored to different audience levels, including end users, system administrators, and developers.

4. Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and completeness.

5. Work closely with the quality assurance team to validate documentation against product functionality and usability.

6. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies related to cybersecurity and technical writing.

7. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve documentation processes, tools, and standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or related field.

- 1-3 years of experience as a technical writer, product documentation developer, or similar role, preferably in the cybersecurity software industry.

- Strong writing and editing skills with impeccable attention to detail and grammar.

- Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., XML, HTML), version control systems (e.g., Git), and content management systems (e.g., Confluence).

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and terminology is a plus.
