Our organization is looking to add a skilled Revenue Cycle Assistant to our team. To do well as a Revenue Cycle Assistant, you will need to have an understanding of the inner-workings of medical billing, payment posting as well as exceling at problem-solving. The role of the Revenue Cycle Assistant includes:

• Manage corporate account to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Post daily payment deposits in EPIC:
  • EFT payments
  • Check payments from insurance payers, 3rd party payers and patient payments
• Post all non-payments and denials
• Reconcile accounts ensuring all payments have been posted accurately
• Balance payments posted with remittance amount
• Post insurance and patient write offs and adjustment following department guidelines
• Adhere to department and company policies and follow job processes and procedures
• Keep lead/manager apprised of any internal/external issues and concerns preventing and/or disrupting daily workflow
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/Special Skills:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Associates Degree and/or established expertise in related revenue cycle functions such as patient financial services, medical billing, registration and charge coding Preferred.

• Ability to analyze payments and determine status and required actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms and build strong relationships with related functions and departments.
• Working knowledge of related systems applications, spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Diplomacy skills to resolve issues across functional boundaries and with outside entities.

This position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm
