This position is responsible for assuring that owned or leased assets are properly documented and maintained in accordance with statutory requirements, industry standards and best practice.**Essential functions**

* Develop procedures for equipment inventory, management and distribution.

* Develop processes to ensure recertification of equipment is current.

* Establish the process and monitor for compliance to ensure proper access to manufacturer equipment documentation.

* Support the equipment standardization initiative.

* Ensure compliance with local requirements and regulations.

* Collect, review and analyze equipment data and costs to make recommendations to retire/replace or repair/modify.

* Provide scheduling and planning to the Business Units in developing the annual operating budget.

* Maintain Company assets and records in accordance with best practice.

* Facilitate vendor interaction to obtain information relating to equipment and equipment maintenance.

* Support the preventative maintenance department.

* Support the HSE objective of no injuries, accidents or harm to the environment as it relates to equipment.

* Monitor and evaluate competitor equipment and make recommendation(s) for appropriate response to protect Company objectives.

* Actively lead in the career development of subordinates by establishing goals and objectives and providing feedback and/or coaching as needed.

* Remain abreast of current technological progress to ensure the Companys equipment remains marketable and competitive.

* Abide by Company policies and procedures.

* Other duties and special projects as assigned.

* Ensure that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.

* Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.

* Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.

* Do not take short cuts or unnecessary risks and actively work with others to ensure they take due care and do not put themselves or others at risk.

* Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.

* As needed, seek advice from HSE representative.

**Additional functions**

This position is responsible for successful execution of enterprise-wide inventory strategy that improves daily operation efficiencies throughout the Company. Collaborate with Operation Managers and global warehousemen to determine material requirements needed for new projects and warehouse setup. Supervise requisition of material for new projects, to establish inventory base for operations support. Generates and maintains computerized inventory records and reports including inventory changes in value and line item turnover. Collaborates with international warehousemen to transfer inventory from one rig to another. Provides global inventory transparency. Interfaces with Accounting to ensure inventory value is properly booked and coded in accordance with SOX requirements. Travels to international and domestic operations to train warehousemen, as needed. Is Subject Matter Expert concerning Inventory Management ERP software, including Min/Max planning and participates in the development, implementation and continued support of the global inventory system. Generates itemized, categorized list of materials for use in obtaining Strategic Sourcing bids. Oversee, supervise or manage the overall quality of projects and/or employees performance.

**Qualifications**

**Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities**

* A Bachelors degree is required.

* Should have at least 7 years of work experience in asset management; preferably in the drilling industry.

* Must have knowledge of land and barge rigs with their associated equipment and inventory requirements.

* Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.

* Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products.

* Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors. Being multi-lingual is preferred.

* Must be able/willing to travel nationally and internationally.

* Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.
