Job Description
The California Prison Industry Authority is currently looking for a Program Technician, located in Madera County, in Chowchilla, CA. Under the close supervision of the Supervising Program Technician II (Optical Products), this position is responsible for using specific Medi-Cal Optical programs criteria in the receiving, screening, data entry, shipping, customer service, and transportation processes of performing Medi-Cal orders for prescription eyewear. The position requires a valid Class C California Driver’s License (CDL).
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Experience working in an Optical Lab
- Experience working in and providing customer service
- Experience working with or around incarcerated individuals.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
