Urbandale, IA (Onsite)Primary Job Duties
- Prepare consolidation processes, including financial statements (10%).
- Complete journal entries and associated documentation (40%).
- Assist in year-end audit preparations (10%).
- Handle sales and use tax returns for assigned entities, including reconciliations (20%).
- Utilize computer-based systems for reports, reconciliations, and journal entries (15%).
- Undertake special projects as required (5%).
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Complete tasks within established time frames with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Foster effective working relationships within the department and company.
- Consistently attend work and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, codes, and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Four or more years of accounting experience, emphasizing general ledger entry and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in applying generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; Oracle experience a plus.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
