What is the Position?
Under minimal supervision set up and operate all types of presses and department equipment
to produce a variety of bellows components and other precision metal parts.
- Coiler/Slitter, Forging rings, Annealing rings, Hydraulic Stamping, Arbor Press
What are the key responsibilities?
- Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
- Work from complex drawings and other documented work instructions. Review route sheets for accuracy and notify engineering personnel, supervisor, and/or technical leader of required changes.
- Set up and operate all equipment to meet quality requirements using a wide variety of precision measuring devices and equipment including contour reader and non-contact measuring systems. Perform all other press related activities.
- Check dies and other tooling to ensure functionality. Develop new tooling. Work with engineers and tool designers to achieve tooling and/or part specifications.
- Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions.
What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?
HS Diploma or GED - 3 – 5 years experience
