Position Overview
Participates in delivery of orthopedic care by coordinating clinical appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians and facilities.
Essential Functions
· Provide excellent customer service through all interactions as scheduling contact for clinic appointments.
· Respond effectively and promptly to all patient, provider and team member requests.
· Provides accurate and courteous information regarding our clinic and physicians to all callers.
· Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information necessary to schedule appointments.
· Maintain/Update patient information and working knowledge of insurance protocols.
· Knowledge of physician preferences and schedules.
· Completes computerized patient scheduling collection of comprehensive demographic and insurance information required to facilitate timely and accurate bill of services, obtainment of precertification authorization and benefit information necessary for payment.
· Responsible for effectively screening /identifying customer requirements and taking appropriate action based on information.
· Ability to transition from inbound and outbound call services depending on volume and assignment.
· Complete other duties as assigned or identified based on patient needs.
· Ability to adhere to quality and productivity standards.
Pay & Benefits Information
This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime. The pay range for this position is $18.07 to $27.11 per hour, DOE.

Requirements:Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required
· High School Diploma or GED
· Knowledge of EHR system
· 1-3 years customer service or healthcare experience.
· Knowledge of standardized scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, attendance procedures.
· Familiar with a variety of healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Type at least 50 WPM.
· Possess knowledge of PC applications (Outlook, Windows, VDI), healthcare applications and phone systems.
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
· Some medical terminology knowledge helpful.
· Attention to detail a requirement.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
· Ability to work well with others in a team driven environment
