University of Tennessee Medical Center is Hiring a Hearing Technician Near Knoxville, TN
Position Summary:
Assists with basic audiological procedures under the supervision of a licensed audiologist. Communicates with patient and family members. Counsels and educates parents of newborns related to results of hearing screen. Performs Automated Auditory Brainstem Response Screen on babies. Reports hearing test results to the State of Tennessee - Department of Hearing. Reviews medical chart in order to identify risk factors that may cause a progressive hearing loss.
Position Qualification:
Some college experience, required. Experience with audiological testing is preferred.
