Job Description:

Spotter - 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

What You'll Do

* Performs a complete safety and mechanical check of the Yard truck and trailers to be moved.

* Climbs up into cab, drives to trailers, backs up to the trailer, raises 5th wheel, makes connections, climbs down to remove wheel chock, climb up into cab and drives away.

* Backs the trailer into the designed spot, disconnects the trailer, installs chocks.

* Drives forklift to make up cross dock loads.

* Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

What you need to succeed:

* Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.

* Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.

* High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.

* CDL A Certification

* Hazmat and Doubles endorsements

* Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations

* Knowledge of DOT regulations on equipment standards and inspections
