The Role:

The Training and Development Consultant (TDC) is accountable for delivering specialized support to Certified Instructors (CIs) regarding the delivery of CPI training, standards, compliance, and implementation efforts. The TDC is also responsible for the delivery of CPI’s virtual programming and facilitation of virtual workshops, as well as managing Community-specific Online Forums.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Provide advice and consultation to CIs regarding delivery of CPI training, standards/compliance and implementation efforts.
  • Deliver CPI’s virtual programming which includes Specialty Topic Instructor Certification and Renewal Programs.
  • Consult with Territory Account Managers (pre-sale) to understand customer needs and provide content expertise.
  • Serve as an internal training subject matter expert for program and product development initiatives.
  • Assure CIs understand how to effectively use a variety of tools and resources designed to support the successful delivery of CPI training at their base of employment.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of CPI’s programs (Legacy, Current, and New), events, policies and procedures.
  • Seek input from new and tenured CIs and collaborate with Product & Program Development and Management, Training, Marketing, Legal and Technology Services departments to improve existing tools and resources.
  • Deliver Instructor Certification Program (ICP) and Specialty Topic virtual training in one or more specialty areas including trauma, special education/autism spectrum disorder, mental health, and security.
  • Facilitate virtual workshops linked to online enrichment modules.
  • Effectively moderate Community of Practice live events and manage one or more online communities.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care, Program Operations, Training, Legal, and Technology Services as needed to provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support the review of CI satisfaction surveys and act on insights to improve CI experience, training success, and Community engagement.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service or communication-related field
  • Experience delivering training through virtual channels
  • Experience working with the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training Program
  • Experience working in one or more of the following areas: Special Education/Autism Spectrum Disorder, Trauma, Mental Health, Security/Advanced Physical Skills, Dementia
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Knowledge of VI, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCI), and any specialty topic programs and corresponding disengagement and holding skills
  • Ability to travel at least quarterly (and more frequently if needed to accommodate GPI capacity challenges) and attend GPI Development Events
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and a member of a multi-function team
  • High attention to detail

We'd Love to See:

  • Two years or more experience as a Global Professional Instructor
  • Experience as Certified Instructor
