TPG Hotels & Resorts is Hiring an Event Operations Supervisor Near Lynchburg, VA
As an Event Operations Supervisor, you will work hand in hand with the Event Operations Manager for operational planning, oversight and execution of all aspects for banquet and event functions, as well as monitor, develop and lead a banquet team in a fun and positive environment. This position ensures that all food and beverage services for functions in the banquet department of The Virginian Hotel are served on time and that every one of The Virginian's professional standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Supervise banquet team and the efficiency/success of each banquet that is assigned by the Event Operations Manager
- Perform all Banquet side work as designated by the Event Operations Manager, while delegating side work to banquet team members
- Efficiently and properly perform all service standards.
- Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties.
- Report to the Event Operations Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of any banquet equipment and facilities.
- Assist in the upkeep and organization of all banquet areas.
Expectations
- Familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
- Attend all designated pre-event stand up meetings.
- Follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO's).
- Set tables and banquet space to specifications
- Create excellent customer service experience.
- Train all banquet staff as needed in Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- Have a flexible schedule and be able to work, Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand for the duration of a full shift.
- Able to work long hours
- At least 1 year Banquet Operations leadership experience
