EnviroScience is currently seeking a full time Scientific/Technical Writer.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
* Prepare technical scopes of work for proposals and technical reports. Common scopes may include, but not be limited to, mussel survey plans and reports, permitting, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Section 7 consultation, Biological Assessments, endangered species permitting, etc.
* Entry, review, and interpretation of data and preparation of reports and work plans.
* Execute and oversee editing and release of technical materials.
* Provide support within the department such as standard work, creative communications, and presentations.
* Write technical papers.
* Demonstrate the ability to complete concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and stay on schedule.
* Travel is minimal but candidate should have the ability to periodically have in person meetings as needed.
* Experience with preparation of project specifications and bid documents a plus.
* Regulatory agency interaction and coordination.
* Familiarity with scientific and field survey protocols.
* M.S. in Biology, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience. B.S. in a similar field will be considered for the right candidate
* Excellent technical report writing skills.
* Experience publishing biological or ecological journal articles.
* Experience in Environmental Consulting.
* Preferred candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, and be self-motivated, thorough, and detailed in their work.
* Preferred experience of working with authoring tools and related software.
* Excellent and proficient skills in Microsoft Office including Access.
* Ability to produce accurate, professional, and error-free documents in a timely manner.
* Valid driver license.
* Work well in a team setting.
* Preference for candidate to be in the Stow office, however remote opportunities available.
* Part time positions would be considered for the right candidate.
