Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. Your main responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess excellent customer service skills.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments for patients using our medical scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary paperwork
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about our services
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide general administrative support such as filing, faxing, and data entry - Support with insurance claim filings - training included - Posting payments upon collection
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, training provided if this skillset is lacking
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff members
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
