Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Conduct mechanical maintenance activities on all equipment and buildings as directed.
- Assist in the design and installation of capital equipment and assist in construction activities as required.
- Use overhead cranes, forklift trucks etc. in the completion of maintenance, construction and capital upgrade activities as required. Maintain and upkeep all mobile equipment used in the plant.
- Assist the Operations Electricians, both mechanically and electrically, in the preventive maintenance and construction activities as required.
- Provide storeroom support as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams, Behavior Based Safety Programs, audits and other activities as required and conduct SPC activities as directed.
- Maintain the mechanical workshop area in a clean, safe and environmentally sound condition.
- Maintain and operate the waste water system
- Assist in operations support of the coating line on an as needed basis
- Assist the operations personnel in all operating functions related to production equipment consistent with the other aspects of this job description.
- Use of overhead cranes, hand trucks and power fork trucks to rig, load and unload, rolls, materials and equipment.
