Overview:

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that Tarnished Truth products, namely Ready-To-Drink Coastal Cocktails, are packed correctly and made ready for distribution in a safe manner. The supervisor will manage and lead a team of staff involved in various packaging and warehousing processes, including canning, bottling, boxing, palletizing, and cleaning. The Packaging Supervisor has an important role in the production team, working closely with the RTD Production Manager and Master Distiller to coordinate events and processes across the company. The Packaging Supervisor must ensure that the high standards of Tarnished Truth Distilling Company are maintained and that the packaged products are of high-quality and meet Quality Assurance (QA/QC) specifications. The Packaging Supervisor reports directly to the RTD Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

Lead canning operations, including setup and breakdown of packaging lines, box building, pack off, palletizing and product/raw material storage. This also includes overseeing the packaging process and ensuring it runs smoothly, including tasks such as: operating the filling line, loading packaging materials, forming cartons, palletizing, and labelling.

Lead and direct the packaging team, ensuring that the team is productive and appropriately trained for the machinery they are using.

Manage packaging team cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of all packaging equipment, inventory, and raw materials.

Supervise and assist in general janitorial work, i.e., cleaning stainless parts and equipment, sweep and scrub floors, end of run equipment cleaning etc.

Assist in coordinating shipping and receiving of finished goods and packaging materials.

Ensure QA/QC processes are correctly implemented, and that quality is maintained throughout the packaging process.

Assist in the maintenance and repair of packaging production line equipment, ensuring it remains in good working order. The packaging team leader will also assist in and coordinate with the production manager, major maintenance, and overhaul of equipment, organize repairs to prevent downtime and remedy issues.

Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure the packaging facility and equipment meets regulatory obligations required by government bodies. This will include ensuring the production facilitys compliance with environmental, workplace safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Teach team members all safety and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with these standards.
