Compensation Range:

$95,000 – $110,0000 (depending on level, licensure, and location)

How You Will Contribute:

The Assistant Clinical Director supports clinical leadership and oversight of program service delivery. Position assists with overseeing the daily clinical operations, working directly with the Clinical Director and Therapists to facilitate and support clinical programming, interventions, and training initiatives. This position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of individuals and families and developing appropriate treatment plans. The Assistant Clinical Director provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients. Position acts as a liaison with clients, families, and referral partners throughout the treatment process and serves as a client advocate within the treatment team. Demonstrates proficiency in communicating with internal and external partners; clearly articulates the mission, vision, values of company and communicates their importance to others in pursuit of clinically excellent, client-centered care.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with the Clinical Director, Business Development team members, Admissions team members, Nursing leadership, milieu leadership, and all clinical team members.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clients and families, clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Creates clinical program schedules in partnership with milieu leader and Clinical Director, ensuring robust and active clinical programming, tailored to individual client needs.
  • Provides clinical program oversite; collaborates with direct care team members, proactively shares clinical updates, provides training, education and mentorship as needed.
  • Supports, coaching and clear instruction of workload assignments to staff/interns resulting in effective and efficient daily operations ensuring the special needs of clients are met throughout the program.
  • Adheres to contract, licensure and accreditation requirements effecting the organization by ensuring that all requirements and regulations are incorporated into procedures and ultimately adhered.
  • Completes clinical evaluations, risk assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans and other reports in support of client care and in compliance with state, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines.
  • Conducts specialized groups based on education, training, and experience; supervises or co-leads groups with staff or interns when appropriate.
  • Conducts weekly individual and family therapy sessions for assigned caseload.
  • Monitors behavioral interventions for clients and provides skills coaching, as needed.
  • Supports clinical team in identifying and implementing appropriate clinical interventions to meet the needs of individual clients.
  • Maintains therapeutic relationship with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge, to include utilization review process support.
  • Conducts initial Risk Assessments for clients flagged for potential high-risk to self or others. Facilitation action plans accordingly.
  • Attends weekly clinical, consultation and business meetings; present cases to be discussed as pre-assigned.
  • Completes documentation in a timely and accurate manner reflecting ongoing assessment of client’s clinical presentation and behaviors.
  • Communicates client progress with the referral source, family, parent, or guardian informed of treatment goals and plans, as appropriate.
  • Documents in accordance with policies and procedures services provided, incident reports, shift reports, or department reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Uses the referral process to build relationships with new referents and engages in collaboration with referents.

Qualifications


What We Are Seeking: 

  • Position requires a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or closely related field. Must hold or be working toward state licensure, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPA, PsyD, PhD, or LMHC.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with the mental health population

Other Requirements

  • Position requires a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting and state clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
