The California State University is Hiring an Evaluator Near Turlock, CA

Position Summary Full-time position available on or after August 5, 2024 in Student Records.

This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing academic records to determine eligibility for degrees and specialized program designations.

This role involves providing guidance to students and faculty on degree requirements, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in evaluation processes, and assisting in training Evaluator Trainees.

The Evaluator I plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and consistency of academic evaluations within the organization.

Job Duties Duties include but are not limited to : Review academic records, transcripts, and official documents to determine eligibility for degrees based on established criteria.

Analyze and assess the relevance, value, and accreditation of credits earned from other institutions.Provide interpretations and explanations of degree requirements to students and faculty, addressing individual questions and concerns.

Assist in training Evaluator Trainees by performing increasingly complex tasks and providing guidance and support.Maintain a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, integrity, and confidentiality in all evaluation processes.

Conduct final reviews for the granting of bachelor's degrees, ensuring adherence to established standards and policies.Communicate with students regarding course equivalents, alternatives, and options for meeting degree requirements.

Collaborate with other academic units to ensure consistency and accuracy in evaluation decisions.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to completion of a formal training program in academic records evaluation OR one year of academic records evaluation experience OR any 12-month combination of training and experience related to academic records evaluation Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (., education, counseling, higher education administration).Experience in academic records evaluation.

Experience in working with graduate programs.Experience working in higher education. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of general office procedures, methods, and practices.Ability to check complex records and detailed information for compliance with criteria.

Ability to interpret and apply written regulations accurately.Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and evaluations.

Willingness to undergo a structured training program to acquire specific evaluation skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Salary Range Anticipated salary will be $4,059 - $4,465 per month plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist.

Full range : $4,059 - $5,712 per month) Compensation & Benefits Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to, outstanding vacation, health, dental, and vision plans;

a fee waiver education program; membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS); and 15 paid holidays a year.
