We have full time, part-time and per diem opportunities availabile at our two childcare locations in Sarasota - located at 1935 Hyde Park Street (situated right on campus) and 1401 S. Tuttle Avenue! Our center hours are from 5:45am to 6:00pm.

The role of a SMH Teacher is to...

Provide care for children in assigned groups stressing individual needs within thedevelopmental framework of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Assisting in creating an environment and providing experiences which are conducive to a childs continuing growth in these areas. Providing assistance in developing feelings of confidence and well-being by having opportunities for successful encounters with adults, peers, and their physical environment. Activities are provided to challenge the child within the context of his or her appropriate developmental level.

Assistant Teacher 1:

Required qualifications:

-HS Diploma/Equivalent

- Require DCF Introductory forty (40)-clock-hour Child Care Training comprised of Part I and Part II courses and five (5)-clock-hour (or .5 Continuing Education Units) Early Literacy and Language Development, or within 90 days of hire or transfer.

Salary Range: $16.50 - $20.90 hourly

Assistant Teacher 2:

Required qualifications:

-Require DCF Introductory forty (40)-clock-hour Child Care Training comprised of Part I and Part II courses and five (5)-clock-hour (or .5 Continuing Education Units) Early Literacy and Language Development, or within 90 days of hire or transfer.

-Require 18 months of related childcare experience

Salary Range: $16.75-$21.90

Teacher 1:

Required qualifications:

- Require DCF Introductory forty (40)-clock-hour Child Care Training comprised of Part I and Part II courses and five (5)-clock-hour (or .5 Continuing Education Units) Early Literacy and Language Development.
- Requires one of the following:

- National Early Childhood Certificate (NECC)

- Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC)

- Director Credentials with 5 years of experience working with young children

- Enrollment in NECC/FCCPC with completion in 12 months and 5 years of experience working with young children
- Requires 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom setting.

Salary range: $17.00 - $23.00 hourly
