Responsibilities

• Responsible for specialized care of flooring in large facility including but not limited to cleaning, waxing, stripping, buffing, vacuuming, mopping, and testing
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance of ESD (electrostatic discharge) flooring
• Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use, informing Director when supplies, maintenance or repair is needed
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service
• Ability to address or anticipate potential floor care needs, informing Director
• Is familiar with and follows all safety standards throughout facility
• Participates on emergency preparedness planning team when necessary
• May handle other general, cleaning or maintenance duties that arise

Requirements

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs
• Must understand basic operation of a computer in order to received and send emails
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl (sometimes in confined spaces) to maintain equipment and buildings
• Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions

Experience

• At least 3 years of related experience in floor cleaning required
• ESD floor experience is a plus

Position Type, Schedule, and Travel

This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Overtime is optional.
