Confidential is Hiring a Facilities Manager Near San Antonio, TX

Principle Function

Oversees and manages the Maintenance of all properties, including buildings, grounds, equipment, furnishings and vehicles, including being the staff liaison for facility issues for properties that are being leased by tenants. Supervision of the Maintenance and the
Facilities Team. Oversees and performs routine maintenance on all mechanical equipment, utility systems and buildings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance
  • Managerial Experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management

Specific List of Responsibilities

  • Supervises the Maintenance, Facilities and Groundskeeping team, to include scheduling.
  • Oversees physical maintenance and operation of the building, facilities, grounds, building utilities and vehicles.
  • Maintain a log of completed work assignments through the designated Work Order software and coordinate daily work order request.
  • Follow a routine maintenance program on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Recommend the purchase of needed equipment and other improvements pertaining to property and equipment.
  • Work with Fire, Police and other public officials regarding church property matters.
  • Work closely with the members of the Facilities Team, Architect, Construction Superintendent and selected staff as future construction phases develop. Review all construction disbursements with the Church Administrator.
  • Work with the Church Administrator and Facilities Team regarding ongoing property
  • Enhancement and improvements.
  • Obtain 3 bids for all work over $500. Bids over $10,000 need to be reviewed and approved by

Facilities Team.

  • Maintain a perpetual inventory of all church owned equipment and furnishings.
  • Crosstrain employees to be able to assist when other team members are out of the office.
  • Handles general accounting tasks such as creating Purchase Orders in a timely matter, timekeeping for employees and working with the Church Administrator on facilities budgeting.
  • Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas.
  • Manages and reviews service contracts.
  • Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
  • Checks completed work by vendors and contractors.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
  • Follow a plan of inspection to check compliance with approved policies and procedures in the maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
  • Program improvements and any extraordinary maintenance required.
  • Prepare the annual general operating budget relating to the operations of facilities and work with the Church Administrator in developing the capital projects budget.
  • Be a good steward with the resources God has provided.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to Glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes.

Other general responsibilities:

  • Assist Facilities Team in recruiting and enlisting needed workers for all ministry areas.
  • Utilize the services of the administrative assistants and facilities staff, which are consistent with their Position Descriptions.
  • Supply articles on a periodical basis for use in publications relating to your responsible area of ministry.
  • Give full support to the General Operating Budget and avoid soliciting or expending funds not previously authorized.
  • And perform any other duties as assigned by the Church Administrator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
