Job description 

Parc Center for Disabilities is known as a progressive leader in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Driven by the vision of a community where all individuals live with dignity and are treated with respect. Working at PARC can be extremely rewarding!

  • Ensures the individuals’ needs are met through supervision, care, and assistance by providing direct assistance in Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). Could include eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, etc. in addition to positive, engaging activities
  • Ensures the individuals’ active treatment plan is followed.
  • Oversees the completion of all assigned documentation.
  • Works with other shift supervisors to coordinate individuals’ outings and appointments and ensures adequate staff coverage is provided.
  • Assigns coverage to all floors to maintain proper ratios.
  • Carries the shift supervisor cell phone when assigned the “charge” for the building to take all calls regarding staffing and building needs.
  • Ensures the efficient flow of communication with team members and parents and guardians.

 Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Night shift
  • Overnight shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities - preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PARC approved verbal, defensive, and control procedures, CPR, and First Aid certifications - we will train.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be a team player.
